A 21-year old man travelling through Greater Sudbury was killed Tuesday when he was struck by a northbound pickup truck on Notre Dame Ave.
The incident took place at around 1:20 pm. The man was brought to St. Joseph's Health Centre where he was pronounced dead.
According to police, the man was coming from the Greyhound bus terminal. Police found the man's photo identification, and papers indicating that he was passing through Sudbury and had been on a Greyhound bus.
The man's name is being held until his nest of kin, which resides outside of Sudbury, can be notified.
Several witnesses have come forward with information in regard to the incident. Police are still investigating and ask any other witnesses to contact the traffic management unit at 675-9171.
