According to Sgt. Loretta Ronchin of the Greater Sudbury Police, at around 3 am on Wednesday morning, the 30-year-old victim pulled into Winks convenience store in a car with one male and two female friends. He went into Winks convenience store and got into a fight with another male customer. The men left the store and, when they went outside the second man pulled a knife on the victim.

The victimÂ?s male friend left the car and went over to help his friend. The man with the knife ran off and was chased by the victim and his friend.

At the same time, there were two women in another car in the parking lot at Winks. Police are unsure at this time whether the women were acquaintances of the man with the knife.

The women followed the men chasing the man with the knife and when the two men split up, one of the women stabbed the victim.

The victim staggered towards Food Basics on Notre Dame, where employees called for police and an ambulance.

The police later stopped a car at Regent and Elm matching the description of the vehicle the women were driving. Four people in the car were arrested, but two were later released unconditionally.
