A Sudbury man who tried, along with two other male friends, to steal a tractor-trailer outside a furniture warehouse last fall will find out how long he will have to spend in jail in early June.
Michael Snowden, 24, was charged with 10 counts in the early morning hours of Oct. 28 last fall when police used tracking dogs and caught him and one of his buddies near the furniture warehouse in Garson.
Eight counts were withdrawn after Snowden pleaded guilty last week to attempted break and enter and breach of a court order.
A security guard phoned police after seeing three suspicious males surrounding a tractor-trailer near the furniture warehouse and "provided a play-by-play description" of their antics until police arrived on the scene.
One of the young males stood guard while two others, wearing ski masks, tried to break into the rig using various break-in tools, including a crowbar, said Zylberberg.
When Snowden and his two accompolices in the attempted break-in heard police coming, they dropped some of their tools and ran, but police dogs quickly tracked Snowden and another young man, while a third man was not caught.
Snowden will be sentenced June 5.
