Man wanted after assault resulting in serious injuries

Police say this is believed to be an isolated incident

Marc Leblanc is wanted by Greater Sudbury Police.

Greater Sudbury Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man accused of seriously injuring another man during an altercation earlier this week.

Officers were dispatched to a Willow Street address at around 8:05 a.m. Nov. 14 in relation to what police refer to as an “unknown trouble.”

Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old man who had sustained serious injuries. He was transported to hospital by City of Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services. 

It was believed that the injured man was involved in an altercation with another man, who fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Through an investigation, detectives have identified the man believed to be responsible for the attack.

Marc Leblanc, 35, is wanted on an arrest warrant for aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with a release order in relation to this matter.

This is believed to be a targeted and isolated incident, as it is believed that the individuals involved are known to each other.
