Greater Sudbury OPP charged a driver of a tractor trailer after it was discovered that his licence was suspended.

Members of the Greater Sudbury OPP observed a disabled tractor trailer unit on Highway 69 in Sudbury on Dec. 1 at around 5:10 p.m.

The disabled tractor trailer was stopped in a live lane of traffic. Police determined that the driver's Ontario licence was suspended.

As a result of the investigation, a 52-year-old man from Gilbert Plains, MB was charged with driving under licence of other jurisdiction while suspended in Ontario.

The driver is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury Jan. 28

The tractor trailer was removed from the live lane of traffic.
