A 69-year-old man from Markstay-Warren fled from officers when they tried to stop the vehicle he was driving, said provincial police.

On Jan. 30, officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Highway 535 in St. Charles. The vehicle failed to stop.

When officers did pull over the driver, they charged him with flight from a peace officer and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

He was released on an undertaking and will appear in Sudbury court on March 17.
