McKerrow area man charged after domestic assault

A 58-year-old man is facing charges including assault after the Manitoulin OPP were called to a domestic dispute in Baldwin Township, in the McKerrow area off Highway 17 near Espanola, around 10 a.m. Jan. 21.

The OPP say their investigation revealed he had assaulted his “female partner.”

They charged him with assault and careless use of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.

He is due to appear in court in Espanola on March 4.
