Missing woman located safe and sound: police

FINAL UPDATE: Riita Guillot has been located in the Lively area, Greater Sudbury Police announced Wednesday evening. "She was found to be in good health and there was no foul play," a news release said.

Riita Guillot has been located in the Lively area, Greater Sudbury Police announced Wednesday evening. 

"She was found to be in good health and there was no foul play," a news release said.

UPDATE:

Greater Sudbury Police Service continues to seek the public's help in locating Riita Guillot.

In addition to the information provided in the initial release, police advise that Guillot was last seen in the Lively area on Monday evening, Aug. 18, at about 7:30 p.m. She was wearing grey jogging pants, a grey pullover sweater and white running shoes.

Anyone with information on Guillot is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.

Greater Sudbury Police Service is asking for the community's help in finding Riita Guillot, 49, last seen Aug. 18 at 3:30 p.m.

Foul play is not suspected, but family is concerned for Guillot's safety as she has been ill for the past 10 weeks. Guillot is described as Caucasion, female, medium build, long blonde hair, blue eyes and about 5-5.

There is no clothing description at this time.

Police have checked local hospitals and shelters with negative results. The public is asked to call police at 705-675-9171 if Riita is located.
