On Jan. 26, 2005, at about 4:30 pm, a motor vehicle collision occurred on Lasalle Blvd., 800 meters west of Notre Dame Avenue, Sudbury. Therese Gillis (52 years) was operating a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier westbound when she lost control of her vehicle crossing the centre line of the roadway, striking an eastbound vehicle operated by Andre Paquette.
Theresa Gillis was taken to St. Joseph?s Health Centre with serious injuries. In the early morning hours of Feb. 11, Theresa Gills succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead by the attending physician. The investigation is continuing into this collision to determine the cause.
