On Sept. 6 at around 12:35 a.m., members of the Warren and Sudbury OPP, West Nipissing Fire Department and the West Nipissing EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17.
Investigation has revealed that a westbound vehicle crossed the centre line and collided head-on with an eastbound tractor trailer.
The driver of the vehicle, 32-year-old Shawn Cote from West Nipissing, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Highway 17 was closed until 8 a.m. No charges will be laid.
