A 50-year-old man stands charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop by Greater Sudbury Police Service on Feb. 16 at about 1:15 a.m. in the Kathleen Street area.
Police stopped a 1992 purple Lexus. The driver failed to provide officers with a valid driver's licence. Further investigation revealed he had been drinking, said police.
He failed a roadside breath test. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where additional breath tests revealed he was impaired by more than twice the legal limit.
His licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded.
