Update: Police responding to yet another crash as slick road conditions continue

Updated at 12:57 p.m.: Police, fire and ambulance responded to a collision on Paris Street at the intersection with Ramsey Lake Road. No injuries were reported and the roadway is now clear.

Drive with caution, folks. Road conditions continue to be slippery.

Updated at 12:49 p.m.: Sunnyside Road near Tyyne Street is fully re-opened now following a crash this morning.

Updated at 11:40 a.m.: Greater Sudbury Police took a driver into custody following a collision on MR 80 at Michelle Drive in Hanmer this morning.

One of the drivers involved in the collision failed a roadside test, blowing more than twice the legal limit. A 29-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving and driving over 80 mgs.

Police are also responding to a collision on Barrydowne Road at Hawthorne Drive. No injuries have been reported from the scene. Motorists should expect delays in the area for the time being.

Updated at 10:20 a.m.: The crash on Bancroft Drive near Birmingham Drive has been cleared and traffic is moving normally again.

Updated at 9:49 a.m.: Police are responding to a collision on Sunnyside Road near Tyyne Street, near Long Lake. One vehicle is in the ditch, but no injuries are reported. Motorists may experience delays.

Updated at 9:43 a.m.: The two-vehicle crash on MR 80 at Michelle Drive in Hanmer has been cleared and traffic is flowing smoothly again.

Emergency services are dealing with multiple crashes across the city this morning as frigid morning temperatures and overnight snowfall make for slippery roads.

At around 8 a.m., Greater Sudbury Police responded to a crash on Bancroft Drive near Birmingham Drive. No injuries were reported.

Then, about 15 minutes later, police, fire and ambulance were called out to a two-vehicle crash on MR 80 at Michelle Drive in Hanmer. Injuries were anticipated in this crash, but the extent of any injuries is unknown. 

And then about 15 minutes after that, police, fire and ambulance were called out to a crash on Regent Street at Telstar Avenue that has blocked the intersection there. Again, the extent of any injuries is unknown.

Police are advising motorists to drive with care and caution this morning as the roads are quite slick.
