One dead after snowmachine collision north of Sudbury

The single collision occurred April 7, the 53-year-old from southern Ontario died at the scene

The OPP are investigating a fatal snowmachine crash that occurred Friday afternoon on a trail north of Sudbury. 

On April 7, shortly after 2:00 p.m., members of the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP and Sudbury Paramedics Services responded to a single MSV (motorized snow vehicle) collision on Ontario Federation Snowmobile Clubs trail (OFSC) trail #C111D, Tyrone Township, north of the City of Greater Sudbury.

A 53-year-old-person from Plattsville was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is continuing with the assistance of an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and an OPP Technical Collision Investigator (TCI).
