It's been a treacherous afternoon on Sudbury's roads as the collisions continue to pile up.

Greater Sudbury Police Services, Fire and EMS are on the scene of a motor vehicle collision on the Kingsway near Bancroft Drive.

One lane of traffic heading toward the city's downtown is currently blocked and traffic will be moving slowly while Emergency Services are on the scene. Motorists are being asked to slow down in the area and be respectful of other motorists and emergency crews.

This is the third reported collision on one of Sudbury's main streets this afternoon, as police have responded to collisions on Paris Street on the Bridge of Nations and on Lasalle Boulevard near the Montrose Mall

Greater Subury Police Services tweeted at around 3:45 p.m. that road conditions in the city are very slick.

"Road conditions are very slick. We urge you to #SlowDown and drive with extra caution. Please give yourself ample time to arrive to your destination. We want everyone to make it home safely," said the tweet.
