Three men face a number of drug-related charges after being stopped by the Manitoulin Island Ontario Provincial Police.

Officers conducted the traffic stop on Aug. 19. They found drugs and cash in the vehicle.

The driver and passengers were arrested.

A 29-year-old man from Dawson Township is charged with possession of a controlled substance (cannabis marijuana) for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor, and driving while under suspension. 

A 28-year-old man from Toronto and a 35-year-old man from Sheshegwaning First Nation are charged with possession of a controlled substance (cannabis marijuana) for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and having open liquor in the vehicle.

They are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on Nov. 15.
