Pair of speeders charged with stunt driving, one for doing 150 km/h in a 60 zone

The other was clocked at 155 km/h on a 100 km/h zone, police say

Provincial police have charged a 20-year-old Sudburian for driving 130 kilometres an hour in a posted 60 km/h zone on May 14.

The young driver was stopped at 11:18 p.m. in a residential area and charged with stunt driving. They had their driver’s licence suspended for seven days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.

The driver will appear in court on Oct. 19.

Provincial police also charged a 31-year-old Sudburian with stunt driving after travelling 155 km/h on Highway 69, a posted 100-km/h zone.

The OPP was conducting traffic enforcement on May 16 in Servos Township when the vehicle was stopped for speeding.

The driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and their vehicle impounded for seven days. The driver will appear in court on June 15 to answer to the charges.
