Sudbury police arrested four people they suspect are part of a professional shoplifting ring.
On Friday, Nov. 15, two males and two females believed to be from the Toronto area were arrested after stealing $1,800 worth of perfume from Aroma Vita.
After the arrest, further investigation revealed the foursome to be in possession of over $6,000 worth of stolen merchandise from stores in Lively and Sudbury. Most of the property recovered is clothing as well as the perfume.
The shoplifters worked by one member of the group providing a diversion while the three other members concealed items in specially designed clothing.
Police believe the group may have victimized other stores and are asking people to contact them at 675-9171, ext. 2638 with any additional information.
