Greater Sudbury Police have confirmed circumstances surrounding the death of Delia St. Pierre, 73, of 3246 Errington Ave. N. last Sunday, have led them to conclude she was murdered in her home.
Criminal investigators are continuing to conduct interviews and gather evidence, but police are unwilling to reveal further information at this time, said Insp. Dan Markiewich.
Evidence gathered from the scene and the post-mortem examination are now in the hands of staff at the Centre of Forensic Sciences, where samples will be examined by professionals.
No arrests had been made in relation to St. Pierre?s death at Northern Life press time Thursday.
