Police found three bodies at site of plane crash

Update: The Ontario Provincial Police confirmed Wednesday afternoon police found three bodies at the crash site near the mouth of the Pickerel River. Police are not revealing the names of the victims, pending the notification of their families.

The Ontario Provincial Police confirmed Wednesday afternoon police found three bodies at the crash site near the mouth of the Pickerel River.

Police are not revealing the names of the victims, pending the notification of their families.

The Ontario Provincial Police is holding a press conference around 2 p.m. today after confirming they have located the missing Piper aircraft.

Const. Miles Loach said the aircraft was located in a “very wooded area” that is only accessible by helicopter. There was no information available on the pilot or the two passengers.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has deployed a team to the site of the crash.
