"Although enforcement, education and awareness are extremely important, so is positive reinforcement," said a GSPS news release.

The Officers handed out ballots to students who were driving without distraction, wearing their seatbelts and driving within the posted speed limit.

The students who received ballots, filled them out and returned them to the Officers will be entered into a National draw through Parachute Canada, where they could win:

  • One of three, $1,000 gift cards to Best Buy or Indigo
  • One of 20, $20 gift cards to various retailers
  • One of five, mystery giveaways

Officers handed out a total of 55 positive tickets throughout the community.
