Updated at 12:07 p.m.: The person found dead after a fire at a residence in Blezard Valley was a man in his 40s, says a neighbour along a remote part of Lumsden Road.

Police have not yet identified the man, but one neighbour said he was a bit of a loner, and lived in a trailer year-round.

It was that trailer that reportedly caught fire Tuesday evening.

“He was a nice guy – easy going,” said Gilles Therrien, one of the man's neighbours.

See the site of the fire and part of Therrien's interview in this video from Sudbury.com.

Therrien said the man had a girlfirend who would visit him a couple times a year. He also said the man had built a small addition to his trailer, lived on a disability pension and had talked about moving because the trailer was too cold in the winter. Another neighbour spoken to by Sudbury.com, however, said the man only lived in the trailer during the summer.

Despite his desire to relocate, Therrien said the man enjoyed living in the country near the bush.

Therrien also said the victim worked at a nearby wrecking yard, and that he'd known the man for three or four years.
