Police investigating two robberies

It was a bad weekend for people who work in convenience stores. Sudbury police are seeking information about two robberies. The first robbery took place Friday evening about midnight at CaraÂ?s Convenience on Lorne Street.

The first robbery took place Friday evening about midnight at CaraÂ?s Convenience on Lorne Street.

A male suspect threatened the attendant with a knife before escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a white male with freckles who is about 20 years of age. The suspect is 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing dark baggy pants and a black nylon jacket with a white hoody underneath.

The second robbery took place Sunday (Nov. 9) at M&M Variety, 257 Leslie St., near downtown Sudbury about 6 pm.

A suspect entered the store with a knife and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

This suspect is believed to be in his early 20s, white, with a slim build and about 5 foot, 6 inches tall. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.
