A man wanted by police on a Canada-wide search warrant didn't show for his aggravated assault trial Monday.
Sean Pickford, 23, was originally charged with attempted murder stemming from an incident outside a downtown Sudbury bar Sept. 17, 2000. That charge has been reduced to aggravated assault. Pickford didn't show up in court to set a trial date in early December and police have been looking for him.
Monday morning, Justice Patricia Hennessy of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice issued a bench warrant for Pickford's arrest as he again failed to appear in court for his trial.
