Police were quick to arrest a couple of teens accused of robbing a convenience store on Lasalle Blvd. Tuesday morning, just after midnight.
The two robbers entered the store with an edged weapon and made off with an undisclosed amount of money, cigarettes and Nevada tickets. Although the clerk was emotionally shaken by the experience, there were no physical injuries.
As a result of a quick response from police and the canine unit, the suspects were located east of the crime scene on foot. The stolen property was recovered; however, the edged weapon is still missing.
The teens have each been charged with robbery, possession of stolen property and dangerous weapons and wearing a disguise with intent to commit a criminal offence.
