Greater Sudbury Police talked a woman in distress down from the Beatty Street train bridge at about 3 p.m. Friday.

The incident closed several roads as emergency responders assisted in the situation, which was resolved without injury.

Greater Sudbury police are asking people to avoid the area around the train bridge on Beatty Street.

At around 1:45 p.m., police tweeted officers were responding to a report of a woman in emotional distress on the train bridge in the Donovan area.

Police have closed off roads around Kathleen Street as emergency responders move to assist.
