Police searching for possible witness to collision near Hanmer Mall

Greater Sudbury Police Services are seeking the assistance of the public to identify the driver of a red truck, who may have witnessed a collision near the Hanmer Mall on Jan. 30.

At around 8:55 a.m. a three-vehicle collision on MR 80 in front of the Hanmer Mall. Just prior to the collision, a red truck pulled out from the mall, turned west, and headed towards St. Mary Boulevard. 

The truck didn't collide with any of the vehicles involved in the collision, however, the driver may have seen what happened.

Multiple people, including passengers, had to be extracted from their respective vehicles by Greater Sudbury Fire Services and were transported to hospital by paramedics where they were treated for non life-threatening injuries.

GSPS are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the location or owner of the red truck and/or the driver at the time of the collision.
