Greater Sudbury Police are requesting the assistance of the public in locating a man involved in a stabbing accident in the early morning on May 25.

At 2:30 a.m. on May 25, Greater Sudbury Police were called to 327 Elm Street in regards to a 28-year old man who had been stabbed. The man was transported to hospital by EMS. 

He sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital where he is in stable condition

Officers retrieved the weapon at the scene and investigators believe the male suspect and victim may be known to each other. This incident occurred at a social gathering and is not related to the incident that took place on Lloyd Street.

Officers and investigators are canvassing the area for information and video surveillance. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has information regarding the suspect or has video surveillance in the area is asked to contact police immediately.
