Police seek help in solving sudden death off Killarney highway on Oct. 25

The Ontario Provincial Police and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s help in solving a sudden death.

On Oct. 25, police were called to a suspicious death of a man whose body was located on a trail, in Point Grondine Reserve, off of Hwy. 637 in Killarney. The cause of death was later confirmed to be an injury from a firearm.

The deceased was identified as Brant Burke, 56, of Killarney.

A joint forces investigation is continuing by Wikwemikong Tribal Police, Ontario Provincial Police Criminal Investigation Branch and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
