Police seek suspect who used stolen car to commit robbery

Suspect was wearing all black including a face covering and what appear to be sunglasses

Greater Sudbury Police is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who they believe stole a car and used it in a break and enter early yesterday morning.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 4, police said a community member attended a convenience store on Douglas Street in Greater Sudbury. At the time, the person was driving a 2010 Grey Nissan Versa Note. The community member left the vehicle running and entered  the store.

Minutes later, they returned to the parking lot only to find that the vehicle was gone.

Early this morning, Jan. 5, the vehicle was located outside a convenience store on Bancroft Drive after an unknown person used the vehicle to commit a break and enter.

The break and enter took place just after 3:50 a.m. and the unknown person made off with an undisclosed amount of money and various items.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing all black including a face covering and what appear to be sunglasses.

Anyone with information related to the original incident, the break and enter or the individual involved in these incidents is asked to contact police.
