Police seeking info about possible stabbing in Hnatyshyn Park

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a possible stabbing that occurred in Hnatshyn Park on June 25.

Just after 6 p.m. Tuesday, police received a call regarding a man that was found lying in the walkway between the LCBO and transit depot. It appeared that he had been stabbed.

Officers arrived on scene, as well as paramedics. The man was transported to the hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.  

"The man was not forthcoming with information regarding the incident aside from a reference to a trail," said GSPS spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn. "Officers believed he was referring to the trail in Hnatyshyn Park."

Officers attended the park and located a small amount of blood on the trail. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.

The 26-year-old man remains in hospital in stable condition.
