The Greater Sudbury Polices Services held a small ceremony at Tom Davies Square on June 6 to commemorate the promotion of six officers and the addition of three new officers to the force.
A number of resignations and retirements from last year opened up new organizational vacancies and resulted in promotions for six officers, while three new constables were hired.
The promotions included:

- Staff Sgt. Daryl Adams
- Staff Sgt. Sara Cunningham
- Sgt. Chris Brown
- Sgt. Darin Heffern
- Sgt. Angela Sirkka
New constables include:
- Cst. Brent Basto
- Cst. Nicholas Micelotta
- Cst. Travis Warnock
