Purse snatcher targets Flour Mill

Four purse snatchings have occurred over the past two days in the Flour Mill area, said Greater Sudbury Police Service. A lone male assaulted four females and took their purses and then fled the area on foot. The latest incident occurred Sept.

Four purse snatchings have occurred over the past two days in the Flour Mill area, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

A lone male assaulted four females and took their purses and then fled the area on foot. The latest incident occurred Sept. 6 at around 10 p.m. when a female had her purse stolen and was assaulted by a man.

Officers conducted a canine track, however, the suspect escaped.

Police are continuing to investigate these incidents.

The suspect is described as male, average height and of a slim build. He has been wearing a hoodie and jeans during two of the incident and a plaid jacket with shorts during the latest incident.

The public is also being asked to be vigilant in these areas and to report anything suspicious to the police.
