Greater Sudbury Police issued four impaired driving tickets over the weekend during the first weekend of the Festive RIDE campaign.

Officers checked 512 vehicles in Sudbury. Two of the tickets are drug-related, while the other two are alcohol-related.

Furthermore, officers issued 31 tickets for Highway Traffic Act offences.

“We’d like to thank all those who make the responsible decision to drive sober,” said police. “Throughout the month of December, we will continue holding random RIDE checks throughout Sudbury. We’ll be anywhere, at any time. Always plan ahead for a safe ride home.”
