Allegedly damaging a window on another driver's car has resulted in a Sudbury area man getting a court date in July.

Ontario Provincial Police from the Nipissing West Detachment said the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on June 1 in the small community of Cache Bay, just west of Sturgeon Falls.

Police said they were called to respond to a traffic complaint on Cache Street in the community.

It was reported that two vehicles had been involved in a road rage incident on Highway 17 and pulled onto Cache Street where the vehicles stopped. One driver exited a vehicle and damaged the rear window on the other vehicle, while uttering a threat to harm the other driver, said the OPP release.

As a result of the investigation, police said a 46-year-old man from Walden was arrested and charged with mischief under $ 5,000 and uttering threats.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on July 4 said the release.
