Robbery suspect makes off with cash after threatening he had bomb

Greater Sudbury Police responded to a robbery at the Northern Credit Union in Capreol around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A male stated he had a bomb strapped to his body and demanded money from the employees.

Greater Sudbury Police responded to a robbery at the Northern Credit Union in Capreol around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

A male stated he had a bomb strapped to his body and demanded money from the employees.

The male then fled the store on foot after obtaining a quantity of currency.

No explosive device was seen and no one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as being six feet tall, heavy set and was wearing a black hoody, black scarf, baseball hat and sunglasses.

The incident is still under investigation.
