The search for the 60-year-old man who is missing after his float plane crashed on Fairbank Lake Wednesday night continues.

The Ontario Provincial Police Underwater Search and Recovery Unit are working with the Greater Sudbury Police Service Marine Unit to locate the submerged plane. 

Area residents are reminded that if they notice that the water appears shiny, they should contact the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Spills Action Centre at 1-800-268-6060. 

Residents may direct any questions or concerns regarding the quality of the water for the purpose of drinking to the Sudbury and District Health Unit at 705-522-9200, ext. 464.  

Residents of Fairbank Lake are asked to contact police if they locate any plane debris or unknown items that may be related to the crash.
