Timothy Ramsay has been located. He was found deceased early this afternoon in a rural area of Hanmer by members of the Search and Rescue Team. There is no foul play suspected. 

"Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Timothy," said a GSPS news release.

"We ask that you respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time." 

The Greater Sudbury Police Service would like to thank members of North Shore Search and Rescue for their assistance over the past few days, the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) who conducted aerial searches of the area via helicopter, and to the residents and business owners in the Hanmer area.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service is requesting the assistance of residents and business owners in the Hanmer area.

Residents and business owners within the radius of MR 80, Dominion Drive and Frost Avenue are asked to check their property and any out buildings for Timothy Ramsay who may have taken shelter from the weather.

The Ontario Provincial Police helicopter will continue to conduct an aerial search of the area.

Anyone with information regarding Timothy’s whereabouts is asked to contact Police.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service is hoping the public can help track down 49-year-old Timothy Ramsay.

Ramsay was last seen around 8 p.m. on Aug. 3 in the Hanmer area. There is a concern for his well-being.

He was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and blue jeans with brown running shoes.

Ramsay is a white male, standing 5-7 and weighing approximately 180 pounds with a medium build. His brown hair is greying and his eyes are brown.

This is the second time since May that Ramsay has been reported missing. He was last reported missing on May 4 in the Garson area. He was found the next afternoon in good health.
