Greater Sudbury Police are investigating an attempted robbery
that took place Saturday March 25 at around 5 pm in a laneway
between the Radisson Hotel and St. Anne's Church.
A 75-year old woman was walking alone when she was approached by
two females asking for money. When the woman refused, one female
grabbed at her purse and tried unsuccessfully to pull it from the
75-year olds' shoulder. Both culprits ran off.
The first girl is described as white, approximately 17-year old
with brown medium length hair and a red coat. The second is
described as white, approximately 17-years old with long blonde
hair and a blue and white jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers
at 675-TIPS.
