Larry Teskey, 52, was found drunk behind the wheel for an incredible 16th time after he got into a collision with another vehicle in early August 2000.
He was sentenced to one year in jail after Justice William Fitzgerald told the accused he couldnÂ?t agree to a conditional sentence to be served in the community saying he believes Teskey would remain a danger to the community if not behind bars.
Teskey was also found guilty of driving while disqualified for the sixth time. Teskey also has six convictions for refusing to provide a breath sample, which carries the same penalties under CanadaÂ?s Criminal Code as a drunk driving conviction.
TeskeyÂ?s record of drunk driving dates back to 1973.
