Spot check nabs suspended driver

A suspended driver was caught behind the wheel at a spot check set up by Greater Sudbury Police Service on March 29.

Police checked 235 vehicles after setting up on Elgin Street at Nelson Street, Howey Drive and Downing, Lansing and Maley Drive and Falconbridge Road at Auger. Officers doled out 11 Highway Traffic Act offences.

Operation Lookout is a Canada-wide, year-round public awareness program that encourages the public and/or businesses to call 911 if they suspect an impaired driver.
