A 23-year-old man was arrested June 4 for allegedly attempting to rob the Legace Convenience Store on Notre Dame Ave., said Greater Sudbury Police Service.
Police said he had a knife when he entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.
The clerk refused and confronted the suspect with a baseball bat. The suspect then fled on a bicycle without taking any money or merchandise. No one was injured in the incident.
Officers found him on Frood Road a short time later.
He is charged with robbery, wearing a disguise, weapons dangerous, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of probation.
He is scheduled to appear in bail court June 7.
