Sudbury man, 19, charged with stunt driving on Hwy. 69

A 19-year-old Sudbury man is facing stunt driving charges after being stopped by the West Parry Sound OPP on Highway 69 March 24.

The OPP say they were conducting radar patrol shortly before 1:30 p.m. March 24, when the officer observed a southbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on the highway in The Archipelago Township.

The Sudbury man has been charged with race a motor vehicle — excessive speed under the Highway Traffic Act.

He is due to appear in court in Parry Sound April 30.

The man's driver's licence has been suspended for seven days and his vehicle has also been impounded for seven days.
