A Greater Sudbury man has landed himself in hot water after the OPP says he shared an intimate image of someone without that person’s consent.

But, because identifying the accused would identify the victim, the man’s name is not being made public at this time.

Police say on May 18, the Warren OPP detachment received a call from someone regarding the distribution of intimate images of a resident of Markstay-Warren. Whether the person who made the complaint is the person in the images, police haven’t said.

OPP investigated and now a 30-year-old Greater Sudbury man faces a charge of distributing an intimate image without consent.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on June 28.
