Sudbury man nabbed for stunt driving

Sudbury OPP charged a 30-year-old Sudbury man on Oct. 9, after he was spotted driving at excessive speeds on Highway 69 in Cox Township.

At around 4 p.m. on Oct. 9, members of the Northeast Highway Safety Division (HSD) of the Sudbury OPP observed a northbound vehicle travelling at 180 km/h in 100 km/h zone and conducted a traffic stop.

As a result, a 30-year-old man from Sudbury was charged with race a motor vehicle - excessive speed.

The man's driver's license was suspended for seven days and his vehicle was also impounded for seven days.

The accused is schedule to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on Nov. 20.
