Sudbury police come to the aid of suicidal individual

They removed the zip cable ties from around the person’s neck

Greater Sudbury Police officers came to the aid of a person who was trying to end their life Monday evening.

Shortly after 5 p.m. June 15, police located a person in crisis in the city’s West End. Officers were able to quickly remove the zip cable ties which were restricting the person’s airway.

The individual was treated at the scene by EMS and transported to hospital, where they are recovering.
