One person was taken into police custody as a result of a road rage incident from the June 23.

The accused has been charged with assault causing bodily. The accused has been released and will appear in youth court to answer to his charges.

As the accused is a young person he can't be identified under the YCJA.

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a road rage incident that occurred around 7:30 p.m. Friday evening between the occupants of a white pickup truck and a blue car. The altercation took place in The Kingsway and Barrydowne Road area. 

"The incident continued until the parties parked and engaged each other in the Kings Buffet parking lot," police said in a news release Saturday. 

"The incident is now being investigated by members of the Criminal Investigations Division. This was a busy time at the restaurant and police are aware that there were numerous witnesses to the incident."

"Any person with information pertinent to the investigation is asked to refrain from posting anything on social media, as it may affect the integrity of the investigation," the release said. "Your co-operation is appreciated.

"Please consider, if you have witnessed erratic driving or a criminal offence, take as much information down that you can, notify the police and refrain from taking matters in to your own hands."
