Sudbury resident charged with robbery

Taxi stolen and driver assaulted in Saturday morning conflict

Greater Sudbury Police reported through Twitter that a taxi driver had been assaulted on Paris St. at approximately 4 a.m. yesterday morning.

The driver suffered minor injuries and had his taxi stolen in the confrontation. 

Police located the taxi in the downtown area later that morning, as well as the party responsible. 

This individual has been charged with multiple offences including robbery - theft through violence. 

The accused faced their charges yesterday in bail court, but no details on sentencing have been released.
