Greater Sudbury Police have sent out a tweet saying they've resolved the technical difficulties with their non-emergency switchboard line, and they were not due to a computer virus such as the one that impacted Health Sciences North Wednesday.

"Let's stop the rumour mill from turning," the tweet said. "We weren't hacked, nor were the technically difficulties due to a virus. We are doing maintenance & system upgrades to our Comm Centre. Issue has been rectified. It's business as usual. Emergency call 911. Non-emergency call 705-675-9171."
