A 17-year-old male has been charged with several offences in connection to four purse-snatching incidents in the Flour Mill area earlier this week.

Greater Sudbury Police have charged him with four counts of robbery, four counts of possession of property obtained by crime and four counts of failure to comply with sentence or disposition.

The police service's Break Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit executed a search warrant at the suspect's home, and evidence of robberies was recovered.

The suspect is being medically treated due to ingesting illicit drugs before being in police custody. Once cleared medically, he'll be held for a bail hearing to answer to the charges.
