A Lockerby Composite student suffered non-life-threatening injuries on Feb. 25 after she was hit by a car being driven by another student in the school's parking lot, said Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The licenced driver, too young to be identified, was driving in an aggressive manner, said police. He caused the vehicle to drift and slide around a corner, when he lost control and hit the female pedestrian, who was walking toward the school.

She was taken to Health Sciences North.

The driver was arrested and released from custody with conditions pending a future court date to answer to the charge of dangerous operation of motor vehicle.
